AWS Wireless Licenses
The results of FCC Auction 66, September,
2006. These maps show the individual frequency
"block" winners of the 3 "Regional"
assignments. AWS (Advanced Wireless Systems)
channels are based at 1700 MHz, paired with
2100 MHz channels. Not shown are the smaller
Cellular Market Area assignment blocks. Some
market assignments have been sold among carriers
since the auction. There is more information
